Gent Maloku: la storia di uno studente internazionale

GM_fotoStudying abroad was a life changing experience that will not be easily forgotten. Two years ago I was selected to receive a scholarship within Erasmus Mundus. I packed my bags and flew to Milan, Italy to continue master studies in computer science. I must admit that in the beginning wasn’t easy considering the fact that the environment, language and everything else was completely different but I loved it so much because every day was a new challenge.

I learned to learn Italian language and met lots of good people which soon have been my best friends.

University Experience

Università degli Studi di Milano is one of the Italy’s leading universities and was a privilege for me being part of it. The combination of world class lecturers and facilities allow you to work at the cutting edge of your chosen discipline.
As an international student, I have valued the opportunity to study in such a rich and diverse environment. Over the past two years I have had the opportunity to work with some of the best professors in the world who guided me to tread my professional career and they opened some opportunities in the workplace. My primary interest is software development and University of Milan was the place where my ambition, passion and creativity took place, however it depends on how you take that experience forward and the way you execute it.

I’ve been involved in many activities on campus as well. I was chosen as an international orientation leader to help other international student’s transition to university of Milan and I’ve furthered my leadership skills as an executive intern.
I am so proud to be the first international student taking a master degree in English in the Università degli Studi di Milano sede di Crema.

Working hard always pays off. I was graduated with 110 e Lode.

Worth every moment

People often ask me what my favorite memory from abroad was, but that is so hard to answer because there are so many!
My suggestion for people studying abroad is to go to a country that is completely different from any culture you have experienced before and to stay as long as you can.

Studying abroad gave me a new outlook and perception on life and helped me to open the doors towards a better future. I hope everyone gets the opportunity to experience a unique education abroad like I had.
