Md Aktaruzzaman, a PhD student in Computer Science of the Università Degli Studi di Milano, Crema campus
I am Md Aktaruzzaman from Bangladesh, a near completing PhD student in Computer Science of the Università Degli Studi di Milano, Crema campus, Italy.
Crema is a city in northern Italy, and Department of Computer Science is inside a small building in this city. I have had a great time here. In my opinion, I would like to say the faculty, the staff, and students that all come together from different parts of the World make the academic environment special. The senior students, colleagues, faculty, and staffs are very friendly and cooperative. Due to small campus, more or less everybody knows each other and enjoy nice moments of taking lunch or coffee together and sharing their own experiences, events, memories, cultures, etc.
Professors here are always willing to help the students when s/he needs it. Definitely, I found my professor very cooperative and friendly to me and my research colleagues. I never heard from him ‘have no time’, when we would like to discuss about any problems. I look to his accomplishments as a model for my own work.
I was a bit nervous when I came first in Crema, as I am experiencing new cultures, and meeting people from everywhere around the world. But after few months, I found that people here are so friendly, and the city is less costly and quiet for living, especially we enjoy walking on the city center during the evening of the weekend. Me and my family feel really comfortable here, that is why I decided to stay more as a Post Doctoral fellow after completing my PhD.
